Lone Star tick
Probably the easiest tick to identify, The female Lone Star Tick has a white spot in the middle of her back during the adult phase.1
They are extremely voracious but fortunately do not seem to carry lyme or other dangerous diseases2
They live all across the eastern coast of the US, and through the midwest2
Despite its fearsome behaviour and appearance this fish is actually a TETRA (an African tetra to be more precise). They are members of Alestidae, a family of small insectivorous fish that are commonly kept in aquariums5.
