Lone Star tick

Probably the easiest tick to identify, The female Lone Star Tick has a white spot in the middle of her back during the adult phase.1

They are extremely voracious but fortunately do not seem to carry lyme or other dangerous diseases2

They live all across the eastern coast of the US, and through the midwest2
